Literature Review Cervical Cancer - 1017 Words

Literature Review Cervical cancer is a serious issue that needs to be discussed. HPV is the sexual transmitted infection that can cause cervical cancer. The public needs to be aware of the options available for preventing HPV. The Food and Drug Administration have introduced the Americans with two approved vaccines for HPV. The vaccines are Gardasil and Cervarix (Smith, Wilson, Pulezinski, Ory, 2014). These two vaccines can protect females and males from the HPV strains. Both vaccines can target against HPV types 16 and 18 that are responsible for 70% of cervical cancer (Smith, Wilson, Pulezinski, Ory, 2014). Gardasil helps protect against HPV Types 6 and 11. HPV types 6 and 11 have been responsible for 90% of genital warts (Smith, Wilson, Pulezinski, Ory, 2014). During the years of 2007 to 2011, there was an increased of HPV vaccination among adolescent females. The vaccines available can protect a large amount of people against HPV. The support for HPV needs to be wide spread. In one study, the objective was to examine the views of college students about supporting HPV vaccination for school aged youth. Also, to view the perceptions and behavioral factors of HPV vaccination for school aged youths. The participants were from two large Texas Universities of young adults. The path that embraces me with grace and open arms is the heart of my existence here today. Because of the treacherous, winding path that shielded my eyes from light, seeing nothing but shadow, this path I now walk with faith envisions an unstoppable potential that calls my name and mine alone. I can see the wind blowing the tall strands of creation along an open field, touching mystery and solution on a mind-blowing level.
